Millions of Americans have reconstructed their lives through recovery. To honor and celebrate that fact, every September since 1989 is National Recovery Month. The name has changed twice since being finally recognized as Recovery Month in 2011. The United States government created this observance to celebrate the counselors and medical professionals who have helped so many people to regain their sobriety. Then in 1998, it was decided that people struggling with addiction and those who have already won that battle should also be honored. This celebration allows health care workers and addiction specialists to educate the public. The community can learn how people with mental health issues or addiction dependencies have benefited from treatment.

If you are a woman thinking about a recovery program, our women’s recovery center offers a warm and supportive environment. To learn more about the treatment options available, please call The Willows at Red Oak today at 855.773.0614.

What Women’s Addiction Recovery Offers

Many treatment centers offer medicine-assisted therapy to get you through challenging withdrawal symptoms for those undergoing detox. In addition, most services also offer talk therapy or psychotherapy, which involves a one-on-one session with a counselor. In addition, we provide the following treatments:

  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy
  • Psychotherapy
  • Trauma therapy
  • EMDR therapy
  • Rational emotive behavioral therapy
  • Experiential therapy
  • Recreational therapy
  • Yoga therapy
  • Nutritional therapy

We can tailor the treatment options to the client’s needs, giving them the highest chances for long-term recovery.

The Kinds of Addiction Treatment Programs Available

Addiction treatment centers treat clients with addictions to an array of substances. Some specialize in treating alcohol dependency, while others have responded with increased services to help remedy the opioid epidemic. Whichever type of treatment program you require, we have a wide array available at The Willows:

  • Women’s drug addiction treatment program
  • Women’s alcohol addiction treatment program
  • Heroin addiction treatment program
  • Opioid addiction treatment program
  • Opiate addiction treatment program
  • Prescription drug addiction treatment program

Through our treatment programs, our clients can gain a wide array of coping skills. Coping skills help you understand the reasons that you began to use and then abuse alcohol or drugs. There is a first time for everything. Unfortunately, what made you try drugs or alcohol is part of why you eventually ended up needing to seek addiction treatment.

There are also the motivations for continuing to use to the point that it has become a problem. For instance, there may be an underlying mental health issue that requires treatment in your therapy sessions. In one-on-one individual therapy sessions, you will begin to understand why you came to use drugs or alcohol. As you learn to correct your behavior, you will be better able to manage your sobriety in the future.
