The Willows at Red Oak Recovery® Campus

Tucked away among the peaceful Blue Ridge Mountains, The Willows at Red Oak Recovery® offers a tranquil environment perfectly suited for women seeking healing and recovery. Our 38-acre campus is often the first place women who are beginning their recovery and wellness journeys feel truly safe and supportive. We strive to create a place that’s safe and inviting enough that women want to stay long enough and put in the effort necessary to find healing and happiness.

Our campus is thoughtfully designed to promote serenity and a sense of community. Clients have access to cozy accommodations, inviting common areas, and outdoor spaces for relaxation and reflection. Our chef prepares nutritious meals using locally sourced ingredients, ensuring that our residents are physically well-nourished as they work toward emotional and mental wellness.

A Serene Place to Heal

The Willows campus allows clients to connect with nature and take a deep breath of fresh air—literally and metaphorically. We believe that being surrounded by natural beauty can be incredibly healing, and our campus reflects that belief. Healing the mind, body, and spirit is important for recovery and wellness. That’s why we encourage women at The Willows to engage in our activities like:

  • Yoga
  • Martial arts
  • Acupuncture
  • White water rafting
  • Rock climbing
  • Gardening
  • Nutrition therapy classes

By incorporating these activities, we aim to help women explore new interests and find healthy ways to cope with stress or emotions. A well-rounded approach helps promote long-term recovery and wellness.

Services at Our North Carolina Center

At The Willows campus, we help women ages 18—30 who are living with addiction and/or mental health issues. Our immersive treatment programs are personalized to each individual, and our experienced staff provides compassionate care throughout the recovery process.

Mental Health

We offer primary and co-occurring mental health treatment for a variety of diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and bipolar disorder. Our therapists utilize trauma-informed therapy, which helps women who have experienced past traumas process and heal in a supportive environment. We also offer specialized treatment for body image issues, self-esteem, and codependency.

Co-Occurring Disordered Eating

Our team has expertise in treating disordered eating, which occurs alongside mental health and addiction. We take a holistic approach to addressing these complex disorders, integrating evidence-based therapy methods like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with nutritional therapy. By recognizing strong emotions surrounding food or body image and then learning how to nourish and care for their bodies, women can find lasting healing.

Addiction

Women experience addiction in different ways than men. Our specialized approach, led by strong women role models, helps women recover in a community of peers and licensed therapists. Our treatment incorporates evidence-based methods, such as CBT, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and motivational interviewing.

The Willows campus is clinician-led, meaning our team members are qualified to address the clinical needs of our clients. When you or a loved one starts at The Willows at Red Oak Recovery®, our team conducts a comprehensive assessment and creates an individualized treatment plan.
